Allows academic credit for veterans' military training at state and city institutions.
New York Assembly Bill A00306 amends the education law to allow state and city operated institutions to grant academic credit to veterans. Eligible veterans include those who served in the U.S. military or New York state military and received an honorable or general discharge, or a discharge other than bad conduct or dishonorable due to a qualifying condition, or are discharged LGBT veterans. Full-time undergraduate students in good standing can receive credits for military training courses that meet institutional standards, without any fees or charges.
