New York A00081 amends the administrative code of New York City to require school crossing guards at every corner of city blocks containing public or private high schools with students in grades nine through twelve during arrival and dismissal times set by the school. Additionally, streets with four or more traffic lanes bordering such schools must have at least one additional crossing guard on opposite corners. The act takes effect immediately.
