Exempts certain child day care facilities serving military dependents from state licensing requirements.

This bill amends the social services law to exempt certain child day care facilities from state licensing requirements. Specifically, it exempts facilities that serve only dependent children of military personnel and are either located on a military base or federal property, or certified by a branch of the U.S. Department of Defense or the U.S. Coast Guard. The U.S. Department of Defense or the U.S. Coast Guard, or their agents, may assume responsibility for approving or determining which children may be served by these facilities. This exemption does not supersede other regulatory powers.
