Maryland SJ2 recommends judicial salary increases for fiscal years 2027 through 2030.

The Maryland SJ2 bill recommends salary increases for judges in various courts, effective July 1, 2026. The Judicial Compensation Commission, appointed by the Governor, reviewed judicial compensation and proposed these salary adjustments. The General Assembly cannot increase the recommended salaries but can decrease them. Additionally, the Chief Judge of the Appellate Court and administrative judges for circuit or District Courts will receive an annual stipend of $7,500 for fiscal years 2027 through 2030.
