Maryland SB899 amends the Public Safety Article to protect federally licensed firearms dealers from civil liability for personal injury or death following the return of firearms to owners at the end of a firearm hold agreement. This immunity does not apply to cases involving unlawful conduct by the dealer. The law takes effect on October 1, 2026.
