Maryland SB824 amends the licensing requirements for manufacturers and distributors of battery-electric or nonfossil-fuel vehicles. It allows such manufacturers or distributors to be licensed as dealers if they meet specific conditions, including not having a franchised dealer in the state, not being a subsidiary or affiliate of another manufacturer or distributor with franchised dealers, and not holding a controlling interest in another such entity.
