Maryland SB561 amends the Maryland Medical Assistance Program to include reimbursement for community violence prevention services provided through telehealth. The bill requires the Maryland Department of Health to approve at least three training and certification programs for certified violence prevention professionals. These professionals must complete initial training and continuing education, and maintain certification. The Program must provide community violence prevention services to recipients exposed to community violence or with a history of injury from such acts.
