Maryland establishes a Long COVID Innovation Grant and Loan Program to fund research and development.
The Maryland Technology Development Corporation will create a grant and loan program for Long COVID innovation. The program will fund research, product development, and manufacturing related to Long COVID treatment. The Corporation will contract with an independent review committee of scientific experts to evaluate proposals. The Maryland Long COVID Research Fund, a special, nonlapsing fund, will support the program. The fund will consist of state appropriations, interest earnings, and other accepted contributions.
