Maryland SB273 expands eligibility for the Edward T. and Mary A. Conroy Memorial Scholarship Program.

Maryland SB273 modifies the Edward T. and Mary A. Conroy Memorial Scholarship Program to include children of certain individuals. Eligible applicants now include children of members of the uniformed services who died or were disabled in service, prisoners of war or missing in action from the Vietnam conflict, veterans with a service-connected disability of 25% or greater, and children of victims of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. The bill also includes children of school employees who died or were disabled in the line of duty.
