Maryland SB202 amends the Public Safety Article to allow a police officer denied a right in disciplinary proceedings to apply to the circuit court for an order directing the law enforcement agency to show cause why the right should not be granted. The application must be made to the circuit court of the county where the agency is located, or to the circuit court for Anne Arundel County if the officer is employed by a statewide or bicounty agency. This Act takes effect October 1, 2026.
