Introduced Text

Maryland SB1008 establishes a permit for off-premises sales of cannabinoid beverages by alcoholic beverages licensees.

Maryland SB1008 amends the Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis Article to allow local licensing boards to issue permits for off-premises sales of cannabinoid beverages to holders of alcoholic beverages licenses with off-sale privileges. The permit authorizes the licensee to receive shipments of cannabinoid beverages from a wholesaler and sell them to individuals for off-premises consumption. The permit term and hours of sale are determined by the local licensing board.
