Maryland HB850 mandates disclosure requirements for home builders and sales representatives in new home sales.
Maryland HB850 requires home builders to display their registration number conspicuously on properties where sales representatives work. If multiple homes are built in one project area, the registration number can be posted in one central location. Sales representatives must disclose their loyalty to the home builder, not the buyer, in written materials and the first signed agreement. Publicly open properties must also display a notice about the sales representative's loyalty. The Act takes effect October 1, 2026.
