The Maryland Financial Empowerment Center Network Pilot Program establishes a network of financial empowerment centers across Maryland. These centers will provide free one-on-one financial counseling and coaching services, focusing on increasing savings, paying down debt, accessing banking, and improving credit scores. The Comptroller will implement and administer the pilot program, which will run from October 1, 2026, to September 30, 2029, after which it will be abrogated unless further action is taken by the General Assembly.
