Maryland Energy Administration to study land-based wind energy potential and mitigation efforts.
The Maryland Energy Administration is tasked with conducting a comprehensive study on land-based wind energy generating systems within the state. The study will assess the total potential for wind energy generation, describe the locations used for this assessment, and provide information on successful mitigation efforts in the U.S. that allow wind energy systems and military radar technologies to coexist. The Administration may use funds from the Strategic Energy Investment Fund to conduct this study, with findings and recommendations due by December 1, 2026.
