Maryland HB608 modifies the compensation for judges in the Appellate Court of Maryland and administrative judges in circuit and district courts. The Chief Judge of the Appellate Court and administrative judges can receive an annual stipend in addition to their annual salary. The Chief Judge of the District Court, while serving in that role, is entitled to a salary equivalent to that of an associate judge. The changes take effect on July 1, 2026.
