Maryland HB1513 allows Calvert County to issue general obligation bonds for the acquisition, construction, improvement, or development of public facilities, up to a total of $80,957,080. The bonds are secured by the full faith and credit and unlimited taxing power of the County. The net proceeds from the bond sale must be used exclusively for the specified public facilities projects. The County has the authority to issue additional bonds to replace lost or mutilated ones and to refund existing bonds. The bonds are exempt from all state, county, municipal, and other taxation in Maryland.
