The bill establishes the Suitland Development Authority in Prince George's County to promote economic development and neighborhood revitalization. The Authority will manage development projects, acquire and manage properties, and create a comprehensive neighborhood revitalization plan. It is exempt from certain taxes and assessments and is subject to the Public Information Act and the Open Meetings Act. The Authority will be self-sustaining starting in fiscal year 2036.
