Establishes a Commission to study and recommend on the Blueprint for Maryland’s Future.

The bill establishes the Commission on Blueprint Fiscal Sustainability and Student Achievement to study and make recommendations on the successful and sustainable implementation of the Blueprint for Maryland’s Future. The Commission will examine funding formulas, statutorily required ratios, and the impact of the career ladder for educators. It will also consider the effectiveness of the minimum teacher salary and other salary increases at increasing teacher retention. The Commission will provide an interim report by December 31, 2026, and a final report by December 1, 2027.
