Allows Montgomery County Board of Education to set school operation requirements.
This bill allows the Montgomery County Board of Education to require public schools within the county to be open for pupil attendance for at least a minimum number of actual school days or a minimum number of school hours instead of both. It also allows the State Board to make adjustments to the school year length, school year period, school day length, and school holidays under certain conditions. The bill takes effect July 1, 2026.
