Georgia HB85 proposes a homestead exemption from City of Reynolds ad valorem taxes for Taylor County residents. The exemption amount is determined annually based on the proceeds of a new Local Homestead Option Sales Tax. If approved by voters, the exemption will apply to all taxable years beginning January 1, 2027, and ending December 31, 2039. The exemption applies to all ad valorem taxes imposed by the city for all purposes. The exemption is in addition to any other homestead exemption applicable to the homestead property.
