The fee, not to exceed $10.00, is a surcharge on each criminal and quasi-criminal fine. Funds collected will be maintained in a segregated account and can only be used for authorized purposes upon the judge's order. These authorized uses include purchasing, leasing, maintaining, and installing technology infrastructure, implementing and maintaining evidence management systems, and supporting specialized police technology.
