Mr. Kelly (for himself, Mr. Cornyn, and Mr. Moran) submitted the following resolution; which was considered and agreed to
RESOLUTION
Designating June 30, 2026, as “Asteroid Day”.
- (1) designates June 30, 2026, as “Asteroid Day”;
- (2) encourages increased public awareness about the risks posed by near-Earth objects and the importance of asteroid research, detection, tracking, and planetary defense; and
- (3) supports continued efforts to improve capabilities to identify and respond to such threats.
