LIVE Beneficiaries Act requires states to verify Medicaid enrollees' eligibility quarterly.
The LIVE Beneficiaries Act amends title XIX of the Social Security Act to mandate states to verify Medicaid enrollees' eligibility quarterly. States must review the Death Master File to determine if any enrolled individuals have died. If a death is confirmed, the state must disenroll the individual and discontinue payments, except for services provided before the death. If a state erroneously disenrolls an individual based on a misidentification of death, it must immediately reenroll the individual retroactively.
