Establishes a firearms access victim notification system for crime victims.
The bill amends title 18, United States Code, to establish a firearms access victim notification system. This system will notify crime victims of firearms-related activity by the offender. Victims of domestic violence offenses can register to receive notifications. The system will notify victims if an offender attempts to acquire a firearm, if a background check determines the offender would be prohibited from possessing a firearm, or if a firearm is retrieved. The Federal Bureau of Investigation will establish this system in consultation with state, local, and tribal agencies.
