The Mapping Housing Discrimination Act establishes a grant program for educational institutions to analyze, digitize, and map historic housing discrimination records. Eligible entities must use uniform data standards developed by the Office of Policy Development and Research. The Office will create a national database of these records, which will be publicly available. Grants may be awarded to minority-serving institutions. The Office will submit reports to Congress every three years detailing the progress of the mapping projects and the national database.
