The Community Health Worker Access Act amends titles XVIII and XIX of the Social Security Act to enhance access to community health workers under Medicare and Medicaid. The bill introduces coverage for community health services provided by community health workers, promotoras, and community health representatives. It also allows states to offer medical assistance for preventive services and services addressing social determinants of health, starting January 1, 2027.
