This bill amends the Help America Vote Act of 2002 to require voters to present photo identification when voting in federal elections.

This bill amends the Help America Vote Act of 2002 to mandate that voters provide photo identification when casting ballots in federal elections. Acceptable forms of identification include state-issued driver's licenses, state-issued identification cards, U.S. passports, military identification, and tribal government-issued identification. If a voter does not present the required identification, they may cast a provisional ballot. States must notify individuals of these photo identification requirements when they apply to register to vote.
