It prohibits the exclusion of any member from an occupational specialty, career field, or assignment based on gender. The bill also mandates the Comptroller General to review and report on the operational effectiveness of Army and Marine Corps ground combat units. The changes will take effect on September 30, 2026, with the first report due on September 30, 2027.
