The Increasing Mental Health Options Act of 2026 amends title XVIII of the Social Security Act to expand access to psychological and behavioral health services. It allows clinical psychologists to provide certain services under Medicare, including in health professional shortage areas. The bill also modifies supervision requirements for behavioral health services provided by clinical psychologists. These changes apply to services furnished on or after January 1, 2028.
