Federal SB5046 prohibits the Secretary of Education from transferring functions or programs from specific offices within the Department of Education to other offices within the department and then entering into agreements with other Federal agencies. The bill applies to the Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services, the Office of Postsecondary Education, the Office of Indian Education, and the Office of Elementary and Secondary Education. The prohibition does not apply to agreements in effect before February 1, 2025.
