The MediKids Act extends Medicaid eligibility to all children and young adults until age 26.

The MediKids Act amends title XIX of the Social Security Act to extend Medicaid eligibility to all children and young adults until age 26. It requires states to automatically enroll children and young adults under age 26 in the state Medicaid program. The act also provides for a 100 percent federal matching payment for medical assistance for children and young adults. The changes will take effect two years after the date of enactment of the act.
