The SCALE Act of 2026 amends the Food Security Act of 1985 to provide grants for soil health and wildlife habitat programs.

The SCALE Act of 2026 amends the Food Security Act of 1985 to establish grants for eligible States and Indian Tribes to improve soil health and wildlife habitat on agricultural lands. Eligible States and Indian Tribes must implement soil health and wildlife habitat programs and meet performance measures. Grants are capped at $10,000,000 per fiscal year and last for five years, with the possibility of renewal. States and Indian Tribes must provide matching funds, but the Secretary can provide proportional Federal funds if the State cannot meet the full matching requirement.
