Expands housing program eligibility for volunteer first responders.

The Volunteer First Responder Housing Act expands eligibility for certain housing programs for qualified volunteer first responders. Qualified volunteer first responders can receive a deduction in annual income and qualify for discounted home prices. To qualify, they must submit a verification letter from their employer, attesting to their volunteer status and intention to continue serving.
