Equal Remedies Act of 2026 equalizes remedies for discrimination and extends relief options for age discrimination.

The Equal Remedies Act of 2026 amends section 1977A of the Revised Statutes to expand the types of compensatory damages available for discrimination cases, including nonpecuniary losses. It also allows for jury trials in these cases. Additionally, the bill amends the Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967 to provide any legal or equitable relief available under title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 for age discrimination claims.
