The Protect Domestic Oil and Gas Small Business Act of 2026 amends the Clean Air Act to exclude marginal wells from certain standards of performance and other requirements. A marginal well is defined as an oil or natural gas well site with specific low production levels. The Act mandates the Environmental Protection Agency to approve state plans that exempt marginal wells from these standards within 180 days. It also terminates pending enforcement actions related to these wells. The Act requires the EPA to revise regulations and guidance to implement these changes within 180 days of enactment.
