Aaron Salter, Jr., Responsible Body Armor Possession Act amends title 18, United States Code, to prohibit civilians from purchasing, owning, or possessing enhanced body armor. Exceptions include federal, state, and tribal law enforcement agencies, as well as covered law enforcement officers. Enhanced body armor is defined as armor meeting or exceeding the ballistic performance of RF1 armor. Violations carry a fine, imprisonment of up to 5 years, or both.
