Federally funded research collaborations with certain foreign entities are prohibited.

The Securing Innovation and Research from Adversaries Act prohibits the use of federal funds for research collaborations with entities on U.S. government restricted entity lists or individuals associated with such entities. These lists include those maintained by the Department of Commerce, the Department of State, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control. The Director of the Office of Science and Technology Policy must issue guidance for compliance.
