The Veterans’ Compensation Cost-of-Living Adjustment Act of 2026 increases the rates of compensation for veterans with service-connected disabilities and the rates of dependency and indemnity compensation for the survivors of certain disabled veterans. The increase takes effect on December 1, 2026, and is based on the percentage increase in Social Security benefits. The Secretary of Veterans Affairs must publish the adjusted rates in the Federal Register.
