Preventing Rogue Equipment for Synthetic Substances Act prohibits the manufacture and distribution of equipment used to counterfeit controlled.

The Preventing Rogue Equipment for Synthetic Substances Act, also known as the PRESS Act, amends the Controlled Substances Import and Export Act to prohibit the manufacture and distribution of equipment used to counterfeit controlled substances. This includes tableting machines, encapsulating machines, press punches, die systems, gelatin capsules, and any related equipment, chemicals, products, or materials. The bill imposes penalties, including fines and imprisonment, for violations involving more than 1,000 kilograms of a chemical or product or more than 100 machines.
