The TRAVEL Act of 2026 authorizes the Department of Veterans Affairs to assign physicians to serve as traveling physicians in U.S.

The TRAVEL Act of 2026 amends title 38, United States Code, to authorize the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to assign Department of Veterans Affairs physicians to temporarily serve as traveling physicians in U.S. territories and possessions, including American Samoa, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands. These physicians will provide health care to veterans at Department facilities or other approved facilities in these locations.
