S.4282

Designates the POW/MIA Memorial and Museum in Jacksonville, Florida, as the National POW/MIA Memorial and Museum.

The bill designates the POW/MIA Memorial and Museum in Jacksonville, Florida, as the National POW/MIA Memorial and Museum. It mandates the Director to submit a report to Congress within 90 days of enactment, detailing the budget, organizational structure, bylaws, and accreditation of the museum. The designation may be withdrawn if the museum is not operational within five years or if the report is not submitted on time. The museum aims to honor former prisoners of war, those missing in action, and those unaccounted for, providing a venue for families to share their stories.
