NASA UAS Detection Act authorizes NASA to detect, identify, monitor, and track unmanned aircraft systems that threaten NASA facilities and assets.

The NASA UAS Detection Act grants the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) the authority to detect, identify, monitor, and track unmanned aircraft systems and unmanned aircraft that pose a credible threat to NASA facilities and assets. The act mandates that any interception or acquisition of communications used to control these unmanned aircraft systems or unmanned aircraft is conducted in compliance with the First and Fourth Amendments and federal law.
