The Plug Offshore Wells Act requires the Secretary of the Interior to submit an annual report to Congress and make it publicly available on the Department of the Interior's website. The report must detail the number of applications for decommissioning offshore oil and gas wells, platforms, and pipelines, the number of applications received, the number of wells and pipelines decommissioned in place or removed, and the status of enforcement actions related to decommissioning. The report also includes data on wells and pipelines for which decommissioning did not occur by the required date.
