The Delivering Optimally Urgent Labor Access for Veterans Affairs Act of 2026, also known as the DOULA for VA Act of 2026, mandates the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to establish a pilot program to provide doula services to pregnant and postpartum veterans. The program aims to improve maternal, mental health, and infant care outcomes, and to reengage veterans with the Department after giving birth. The pilot program will be conducted in selected Veterans Integrated Service Networks and will last for five years.
