Establishes a working group to develop guidance and best practices for responding to electric vehicle fires.
The Responder and Recovery Safety in EV Fires Act mandates the Secretary of Transportation to create the Electric Vehicle Fire Response Working Group. This group will review risks, best practices, and incidents involving electric vehicle fires. The working group will issue or update best practices and guidance for responding to such fires. It will also report incidents to the National Emergency Response Information System database. The group will terminate 10 years after its establishment.
