PREDICT Act establishes grants for wastewater surveillance to detect infectious diseases.

The PREDICT Act amends the Public Health Service Act to require the Secretary of Health and Human Services to award grants, contracts, or cooperative agreements to eligible entities for wastewater surveillance. These entities will establish, maintain, or improve activities related to the detection and monitoring of infectious diseases through wastewater. Eligible entities include state, tribal, or local health departments, or partnerships with other public and private entities.
