The Supplemental Security Income Restoration Act of 2026 amends the Social Security Act to update eligibility for the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) program. It increases the general income exclusion and earned income exclusion for SSI eligibility. The bill also raises the benefit amounts for individuals and couples, and eliminates the marriage penalty by increasing the benefit rate for couples. It excludes certain retirement accounts and tribal general welfare payments from countable resources.
