The Securing Infrastructure from Adversaries Act of 2026 prohibits the Secretary of Transportation from procuring or obtaining light detection and ranging technology from certain foreign entities. This includes technology from covered foreign countries, covered LiDAR companies, and covered LiDAR technology. The Secretary may not enter into, extend, or renew a contract with an entity that uses or procures such technology. The prohibition also applies to any grant, operation, procurement, or contracting action for vehicle safety testing, research, evaluation, analysis, or training.
