The SAVE Moms and Babies Act of 2026 amends the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act to prohibit the approval of new abortion drugs and investigational use exemptions for abortion drugs. It also imposes additional regulatory requirements on previously approved abortion drugs. These include limiting dispensing to in-person administration by a prescribing health care practitioner, requiring practitioners to be certified, and mandating reporting of adverse events to the Food and Drug Administration.
