Promotes access to higher education and Head Start programs through public transit grants.
The PATH to Education Act provides public transit grants to improve access to higher education and center-based Head Start programs. Eligible recipients, which include public transportation providers in partnership with eligible institutions, can use these grants to add bus or rail stops, adjust routes, and cover operating costs. Eligible institutions include community colleges, minority-serving institutions, Head Start agencies, area career and technical education schools, and rural-serving higher education institutions.
